ASE v0.08b


Hello everybody.

Looks like I'm going overseas again, so I've bundled together a small update that contains all of the bug fixes  and various jank removal activities that I've been working on. A lot of this was behind the scenes, so the game might not play too differently. I did also add a few minor visual improvements like lens flares and running lights, though!

Bug Fixes 

  • Enemy planes should no longer jitter/move weirdly upon being hit by guns (!!!!!)
  • Added collision to the Operation Starhound Terrain
  • Voices should not get stuck upon pausing the game and restart
  • HUD stuff should remain consistent when switching camera views
  • Targeting system will unlock targets when switching to an weapon that cannot lock onto them, and correctly select a new target when the incompatible weapon is switched out.
  • HUD text color and sprite color should now be aligned

New Content or Changes

  • Added running lights to all playable aircraft
  • Added lens flares to certain scenes
  • Added condensation effect when aircraft is pitching at high speeds
  • Added weapon inventory indicator to highlight which weapon is currently selected
    Currently having trouble deciding whether or not this is enough, but I'm kind of out of room on the HUD.
  • Added semi-active lock type indicator
    Originally this was gonna be a dotted circle, but for some reason the material works inside Unity, but not in the build. Very annoying.

  • Increased turning speed of cluster missile submunitions
  • Increased time between AWACS barks

As I'm leaving very soon, I haven't done much testing! Please let me know if anything breaks and I'll jump on it when I get back (in about a week)!
